  • bone mets and exercise

    I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what kind of exercise I could do with out running the risk of damaging my spine any more than it already has been damaged by the spread of breast cancer to it. I am currently taking some pretty heavy duty pain meds so would like an exercise routine which will be doable with the bone problems I am currently experiencing.

      I talked with my dr and he said the best exercise for me is to use a treadmill, this prevents any possibility of compression fractures which could occur with other types of exercise

        ((((((((((( LANA))))))))))) good to see you back. talk about a shock opening a topic from a newbie. Will alert the prayer chain to your conditon.

        treadmilling with a padded deck is what he recommended?
        how about some water aerobics with your body weight supported and using only the resistance of your body in the water should get you a great workout.
