  • Exercise and moods?

    Hello everyone,

Ok, so I started exercising just a few days ago and I went for 6 days in a row and I was feeling good. I was tired when I was done, but I felt like I had done something to help myself. Then, yesterday I did not exercise and I was so sleepy and lethargic all day long. I was grumpy and moody and very unhappy yesterday. Then, today I exercised again and I feel better now. I still hate exercise so can anyone explain this?

Well, in my opinion, you should exercise everyday!

Exercise kicks up happy endorphins, which is one reason why it is recommended when someone has a tendency to be blue and not doing much. It's true!!

I'm with you, I hate exercising. I have a gym membership and even bought a treadmill so I would be able to do it anytime I wanted. However, I don't want to do it at all. I know I feel so much better when I exersice and need to do it. Being back on Atkins, I can already feel a loosening of the waist band and know it will come off so much quicker if I get on the treadmill.

I can't tell you why you feel better after exercise, I just know you do. Keep it up. You won't regret it.

Now please tell me to do the same.

                Betty,

I could certainly use the mood and sleep improvement. I have only been married since the middle of April so the other one we still have a *handle* on.

If you were tired then and tired the next day, that sounds more like you had a virus or a flu bug?
