If is getting colder and colder here and niether of us want to walk in the snow and ice and brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr (well we will take the dogs out for a little walk every day but that doesn't cut it)

So what do you all say on treadmills??? Oh and anyone want to give me a swift kick or a hug I need it!! I don't know what I was thinking!!!

      Hi manita,

I've had my Lifestyler Expanse 600 for 5 years or so, I bought it at Sears and haven't had any problems with it. I almost wish it would die though, I want one that has the auto incline!

      Good luck with your search!

        Re: Treadmills?

I cant recomend a tread mill as I have no idea what I run in in the gym I just get on it. But I find them good fun and enjoy using them.

I hope you enjoy yours when you finally purchase one.

              Re: Treadmills?

I have a profit. Can't say the model number as it's in the other room. I like that it has the IFIT option on it. This is a treadmill to vcr/dvd that runs the treadmill via the program you are watching/listening too. Like having a personal trainer.

I bought it at sears and love having it as I am terrable about going to the gym. I have a membership and a gym at work.

Since starting over, I've been on the treadmill almost every day and thank god it's here because I never would have gotten the exercise if I didn't.

I do wish that it had a target heart rate monitor, it has the heart rate but not the target. I have to do the math if I want to know if I'm in range or not. Too much work when you trucking along.

              Good luck on your purchase.

                Re: Treadmills?

I have a treadmill, however I prefer to go to the gym. I never checked the namebrand. There is something that motivates me more in a public gym as opposed to stepping on mine at home. I also like the auto incline and heart sensors on the gym models.

I love my Smooth 9.1 Treadmill. It is gym quality and worth every penny!

Extremely quiet operation and a strong motor, and when my kids fall off of it, it is nice and bouncy!

You can compare treadmills at treadmilldoctor.com The research is totally worth the effort and make surre you get what you need in this piece of equipment! It's too big and spendy to exist as a coat rack!

                    Re: Treadmills?

make sure you get a motorized incline and a padded deck. take then for a test walk/run at a store if you can cause some are niot going to fit your stride. I smacked the fire out of the back of my hands on the proform ones at the gym until I got under 180 while I was fine oin my Nordictrac at 313 pounds.
