good ones Megs and my favorite
maybe I should have hydrated a little less before I started wonder how fast I can go with my legs crossed.

but seriously as we get in better shape we need to increase our exercise cause we are not getting the same calorie burn at 199 that we were at even 201 and as those pounds of fat get shed the frustration levels go up as the I'm eatting perfect and in ketosis why aren't the scales and inches moving? We need to burn them to shed them

Good idea. I've actually been trying to speed walk lately and I can 'feel the burn' as they say. Revving up the metabolism keeps our workouts from getting boring and makes us feel better. When my workout starts to get too comfortable, I've been trying to change it a bit so it is a challenge. I feel like I've accomplished more if I do.

        I loved that, megs! *lol*

I've been adding major incline instead of speed.

So the girl scouts will have to chase me uphill at a mile above sea level to catch me! And have you seen their little outfits? They can't keep up in those little sashes.

          1. Because the mosquitoes here in Florida are our state birds, and they can fly at 5 mph.

          2. Because water moccasins can move at upwards of 40 mph.

          3. Because the alligators are hungry!

          4. Because its finally WINTER here and the humidity no longer sucks the energy out of me!

          5. Because the half marathon is less than 6 weeks away!

Re: 5 Reasons to Increase Your Running/Walking Pace

Cleo adding incline walking is great! I began walking a hilly area near my home about a month ago. Walking up and down really increase my heart more profoundly than walking on flat surfaces. I can feel my leg and rear-end muscles working out more AND I can feel my lower abs engage when I walk up hill and down hill. One of the hills I walk is a 20 foot stretch of road and the incline is pretty steep so it's almost like walking up a 20 foot flight of stairs.

              Editing to add....

I found a GREAT use for those sweats, turtlenecks and t-shirts I've under-grown. I layer them on instead of using a bulky winter coat. 2 sweat shirts plus a hoodie sweat and turtleneck are super-warm, yet not very bulky. And let's face it, the additional clothing adds additional weight I need to carry, which will add to the intensity of my work out.
