  • Anyone Try Slim in 6 & Body for Life???

I just got my Slim in 6 DVDs in the mail today. Now I am getting cold feet and wondering if I should try it out or go back to the Body for Life routine. I like in Body for Life that it's HIIT Cardio and only 20 minutes is required. I can do BFL in my laundry room with the door shut. Si6 is a video and I am nervous. I'll have to get up really early to get it done before work and there might be times that DH is home and the only place I can do si6 is right in the living room.
I wonder if anyone has experience with both programs and has any thoughts about which one seemed more effective and a comparison between the two.
Size DOES Matter - But "weight" does not!
I dont care what I weigh - as long as I can wear a Size 8

Size 10 by my Birthday (Mar 9th)
Size 8 by my Anniversary (May 29th)

    Here I am

I, personally, have had very different results with both programs.

Body For Life is a FANTASTIC routine. The strength training in it is dabomb and the cardio is convenient, for sure. I never felt like the 20 minutes of HIIT 3x a week was nearly enough for the amount of fat burning I needed to do.

Si6 is something I've done several times. I always go back to it. It's a personal preference of mine. I've always had amazing results with it.

Yep. If you go the video route you're going to have to get up early. Yep. There are going to be times when the hubby is around and you need to knock it out. Here's the thing about that....

As you get more familiar with the moves in the video, a lot of the embarrassment is removed. The other thing is that in our home there's a rule when it's workout time. We do NOT have observers. We have PARTICIPANTS. In other words, if you aren't up sweating with me...GET OUT OF HERE. You get to claim your living room for an hour a day if you need to. LOL It's your house too

All in all, they're both amazing programs with two completely different approaches and time requirements. It's going to come down to what's more workable for you. Honestly, you're really not going to know until you give both of them a fair, honest shot. You might be surprised!!

never did SI6 cause of bum knees but if you do decide to do it join brook and the gang who torture themselves http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ad.php?t=20734

BFL is a great program too but like Brook the 20 min HIIT was not enough for me so I upped min to 60 min.

Uh oh... you can't do SI6 with bad knees? How bad do they have to be to not be able to do them? I was going to ask for SI6 for my birthday, but I don't know if I should now .

Brook was the one who told me they were to bouncy for me but running hurts my knees and jest walking donehill makes them hurt too.
