    Have done Curves for a month now and am planning on alternating Curves sessions with strength training to see how that goes.

      Deborah..... if you are doing Curves then you are getting your strength training! That is what Curves is all about. Make sure you are working the machines as hard as you possibly can! The platforms are only for maintaining the heart rate and not a cardio workout. Once your heart rate goes beyond a certain point you are losing the strenght training. I would suggest you do Curves 3 days a week and throw in Cardio the days you are not at Curves.
