  • Would Anyone Be interested in doing the Body For Life Workout Plan with me??

    I was Just wondering if anyone would be interested in Starting a BFL workout Challenge or something with me Come January. I have done this before with great results and lots of inches lost. If you have any questions about the Body for life fitness program go to www.bodyforlife.com.

    I only do the exercise portion well the weight lifting I do my own cardio stuff, I don't eat their way.

    Any takers???

    I have been doing the body for life workout for the past three weeks. I have also done it before with great results but just got lazy with my eating. I do different cardio as well (I like the firm workout tapes) but I do follow the BFL weight training. I will continue to do that and would love to do it with a buddy!

      I am actually starting Out today, Gunna do my Cardio then my BFL Upper Body workout LOL. That would be awesome if we could keep tabs and encourage eachother I am more likely to do it when I ahve someone pushing me to do it LOL.

      I thought the new year cause everyone is sooo busy right now with Christmas and I don't think the dedication will be ther but, HEY we should PM eachother till the new year and then start the Challenge up the first Of Jan for 12 weeks what do you think???

          Oh yes for Sure it is I ahve been doing all my workouts entirely from Home so it's completely Possible Rhy.

          For the longest time all I had was dumbells, a straight bar and a Ball. Now I have a Universal Gym so it's nicer.

          I bought a set of Click weights that go to 25 pounds but, the ones to 50 lbs would be great I got the cheap ones no Bofex nothing costed me 100 bucks for both but well worth it. You can do almost all the exercises you need with dumbells. If you don't mind changing the weight out after each set then a cheap set from Walmart will do cause U up the weight in Succession as you go down in reps.

          Running High intensity 20 minutes warm up 5.2 MPH then went up every 5 minutes till I was at a level of running 8.1 MPH on my treadmill, Walked 10 minutes at 3.5 MPH.

          I just did my workout here I'll tell ya what I did.
          Biceps curls, 40lbsx12 reps, 50lbsx10 reps, 60lbsx8 reps, 70lbsx 6 reps,
          50 lbsx 12 reps changover hammer curls 15 lbsx12 reps

          Tricep Pull Downs, 40lbsx12 reps, 50lbsx10 reps, 60lbsx8 reps, 70lbsx 6 reps,
          50 lbsx 12 reps changover tricep extensions 40lbsx12 reps

          Upright Rows, 30lbsx12 reps, 40lbsx10 reps, 50lbsx8 reps, 60lbsx6 reps,
          50 lbsx12 reps changover shoulder shrugs 50lbsx12 reps

          Overhead Chest Pulls, 20lbsx12 reps, 20lbsx10 reps, 30lbsx8 reps, 30lbsx6 reps, 20lbsx12 reps, Changeover chest flies 30lbsx12 reps

          Behind Lat Pulls, 30lbsx12 reps, 40lbsx10 reps, 50lbsx8 reps, 60lbsx6 reps,
          50 lbsx12 reps changeover Front Lat Pulls 30lbsx12 reps

          So that's what I did today. AHHH feels GOOD.

              For sure do you HAVE a bench or an exercise ball you have soo many exercises you can do with Dumbells and a ball it's amazing. I started out with just dumbells and got more stuff from there.

                LOL looks like nobody likes the BFL cardio LOL

                I did the BFL lifting program and it is a lot of fun and if i get the basement fixed up with a weight room or they make adult daycare for gym members i'm in.

                Sarah do you do upper body alternating with lower body? what do you do for your shoulders? I see all pulls and no presses do you have cables but no barbells?

                  Oh Ya I do Presses Just didn't want to do then Yesterday HE HE. I have Dumbells as well so I use those and do presses actually a lot.

                  I have a Universal it has a ton of exercises and I ahve a Barbell, and Dumbells with the quick click so they are easy to change out. Ya a lot of presses was just lazy yesterday and from not feeling sore at all today figured I would be I have to up the weight and do different exercises.

                  Yes, I do upper Alternating with lower body I used to do the 20 minute cardio but, I don't feel like it's enough I do a vesion there of same principles Just do the cardio for longer now. I like the cardio so if I can do longer I am happy. LOL

                    Hmm, I've been thinking about this myself, but I don't want to stick with their cardio - I like my running routine too much, and I'm training for a half marathon and need to stick to that training plan - but I DEFINITELY need some strength training. I also have only dumbbells, but I could probably get a ball!

                    I'll look into it and report back.

                      Sounds aweosme Reveal. I am keeping my cardio the same cause I am still training for the full so I gotta keep the miles up but. ya I need the strength training and it can only help us lose more fat WOOHOO.

                      An exercise ball is real cheap at Walmart got mine for like 8 bucks. and it's well worth the investment.
