  • All Right dadgummit, I'm gonna do it ..

    So my mind is made up.

    I'm gonna do the Gasparilla Marathon on February 25 here in Tampa. Yep, all 26.2 miles, by hook or by crook (and prolly by cane!)

    What the heck! I'm nuts!

      Wow, you are my inspiration. I can just barely jog for thirty minutes. Trust me when I tell you that I run so slowly that I am really just boucing up and down in place. In other words, I run for thirty minutes and barely make 2.5 miles. It is pretty sad. I am so inspired that you are running marathons!! Incredible!

      1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
      what the rungs mean to me:
      rung 1 - more veggies
      rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
      rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
      rung 4 - berries, melon
      rung 5 - wine -
      rung 6 - beans, hummus
      rung 7 - other fruits
      rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
      rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
      Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
      (on to pre-maintenance)

                        WOW Betty! I am sure with your planning and dedication you will do fantastic. First your half marathon and now a full one -- who can be lazy with you around! Any excuse I have to skip a day - melts in the face of commitment. Good job!
