    HAPPY NEW YEAR!

    Off day for me today and I need it! I'll be tapering down my miles a bit this week in preparation for the halfer on Saturday. Yikes, I'm nervous already!

        I wish your legs much rest before they have to perform for you. You will do great.

        First run of the new year - 3.5 miles to work off the too many nuts of New Year's Eve. (slower run than normal 29:30 minutes) I have determined I like to run much more with company than by myself with my self for company. Even having just someone around was good enough to keep pushing. It should be interesting the next 6 weeks where I am going to be alone in WI.

            10 miles on the trail today in 2 hours. Not too bad and a good solid strong run. I think I'm ready for Saturday.............

              WOOHOO Betty 5.5 miles in 1 hour not too bad I am getting a nastie cold went to the city got some Whey Protein so I am happy now I can have that before and after my runs I am finding that for my exercise I am not eating near enough protein for my weight so I am trying to up it in the form of a shake.

                Hi everyone, happy new year! I'm glad to be back. I've pretty much been able to stick with my exercise stuff. I'm running between fifteen and twenty miles a week so I'll be in good shape for my first half marathon in May. I also just registered for my first triathlon of the year in June. I've only been managing to swim once a week lately and cycle once a week but I'm also trying to get out and downhill ski and cross country ski once a week. Still doing the weight thing three times a week (love the BFL challenge going on, that's the program I follow) and I'm having a blast curling twice a week. Now, if only I didn't have to work 30 hours a week....hmmm...
                Missed you all. And Betty, you're gonna do amazing! I'm gonna do that run in 2007!

                      I am getting waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too nervous. 48 hours and we'll be in Orlando at the Health & Expo (pre-marathon) festivities. WHY AM I NERVOUS? Oh shoot, I ALWAYS get nervous before any race; but this one is different cuz I've been registered since last summer!! I got an email today from WDW that said I have to be at the staging area by 4:00 a.m. Saturday .. 4:00 AM!!! No use going to sleep Friday night!! And guess what ... a COLD FRONT is expected Friday which will make the overnight low in Orlando a brisk 35 degrees ...

                        You'll do great Betty. I ran today5.2miles and did my Lower Body Wokrout HOLLY KILLER.

                        Wokrout went as Follows.

                        Lunges 12xnw,10x10lbs,8x15lbs,6x20lbs,12xnw changeover Leg Extensions 12x50lbs
                        Stiff Legged Deadlifts 12x50lbs,10x60lbs,8x70lbs,6x80lbs,12x60lbs, no change 12x16lbs
                        Standing Calf Raises 12x50lbs,10x60lbs,8x70lbs,6x80lbs,12x60lbs changeover seated Calf Raises 12x60lbs
                        Weighted cable ab pulls with Obleques, 12x30lbs,10x40lbs,8x50lbs,6x60lbs,12x40lbs no changeover 12x40lbs

                        My legs are Killing me Nastie and Sore but, it's all good. I also did 1 hour of cardio today along with everything went 5.2 miles not too far but, I am still not feeling 100%

                          6.3 miles done tonight in a little over an hour. Tomorrow, I plan a short 3 miler and that's it until the BIG DAY.

                            Hi guys. I swam 700m, ran 3 miles and did lower body weights yesterday. Also curled last night. Another 3 mile run today.

                            Betty, a friend of mine runs the Disney full marathon, and she says there is something totally surreal about watching the sun rise while running that race. It's gonna be a blast. Enjoy every minute of it. And I'll want details for when I do it next year! Maybe we can do it together!

                              You'll do Great I wish I could watch it from Here I expect lots of Pictures I am sooo excited for you and I am trying to see about Doing it with you in 2007 WOW that would be AMAZING wouldn't it wonder if I could get a Package and and pay monthly for it WOOHOO. I'll have to discuss it with Hubby and see.

                              I am soooooooooo sore today from my Lower Body workout do lunges but, never weighted WHAT A WORKOUT ouch my but, isss sooo tight YA BABY who would be excited about being so sore you can hardly sit or walk ME YA ME!!! I have to run today that ought to be a real hoot maybe it'll losen this girl up who knows we'll se it may be a short run.

                              I upped my protein I was doing my fitday I don't usually and my protein was WAY too low for my exercise for the amount I do I am supposed to be having 1 gram for every Pound of Lean Body Mass I have which right at this moment is 130 so I have to take in 130 grams of Protein. HMMM guess what I was having 50 grams. No wonder I felt Burnt I already feel better with 2 days of Supplimentation. I got a shake no sweetner and 2 grams of carbs Per serving and 23 grams of protein so I ahve to have about 4-5 of those to get me up to where I should be. This may be why I have not been seeing improvement in my Body as well not enough protein to work the body properly. I will let ya all know how things are going in another week.
                              Man I am learning all the time about my Body. It's amazing gotta feed the amazing increadible Machine.
