        K I just finished my First BFL Upper Body workout all in all it went really well. I know I need to up the weight in some stuff but, I haven't done it for a while so I was a bit conservative for my first workout.

        Workout went as Follows.

        Hammer Curls 12x10lbs,10x15lbs,8x20lbs,6x25lbs,12x15lbs,
        changeover Cable Curls 12x50lbs.
        Shoulder Flies 12x5lbs,10x10lbs,8x15lbs,6x20lbs,12x10lbs
        changeover Dumbell Shoulder Press
        12x10lbs.
        Bent Over Rows 12x50lbs,10x60lbs,8x70lbs,6x80lbs,12x60lbs
        changeover Lat Pulls 12x50lbs
        Tricep Extentions 12x40lbs,10x50lbs,8x60lbs,6x70lbs,12x50lbs
        changeover Overhead Extensions 12x50lbs
        Chest Flies 12x30lbs,10x40lbs,8x50lbs,6x60lbs,12x40lbs
        changeover Bench Press 12x40lbs

        So hope the rest of you all ahve a great workout.

          Checking in for day 1. I admit I did nothing today, but I only just decided to start so don't roast me over the coals . I'll start with cardio tomorrow.

            Can you walk me thru how you know what weight to use? I am totally out of my realm here. I have NO upper body strength. And I am lost.

              P.S some of the exercises on your list are not on the list I downloaded from BFL. How do you decide what to add?

                Oh dear LOL. There are lots of different exercises that you can do for now do exercises that you are farmiliar with then later on I will help you add some exercises all right.

                First off how to know what is the right weight well. If you have very low Upper body Strength Rule of Thumb is when you get to the last set of 6 it should be very difficult to do the 6 reps like you could not do another rep. LOL. How to find this out is to try different weight ranges. When you find a weight that is hard for 6 reps you have found your Max weight for that exercise it will be different for every exercise. If you find that Say you Max weight is at 30 Lbs I would start your First 12 reps at 10 lbs and go up 5 pounds for each decrease in reps. I sure hope I am making at least a littles sence this is where it's so much easier to just be there.

                I hope this helped you out, sorry I was MIA for a while My kids took over the Puter.

                I would start out with some very simple basic Exercises like laid out on the BFL websight it shows how to do them along with Proper Form which is extreely important.

                Any more Help and I am happy to help. I sure hope that gets you started.

                  I did Day One yesterday:

                  Dumbbell Bench Press 2x12, 2x10, 4x8, 6x6, 2x12
                  Dumbbell Flyes 2x12

                  OneArm Dumbbell Rows 2x12, 4x10, 4x8, 6x6, 2x12
                  Dumbbell Pullovers 2x12

                  Dumbbell Press 2x12, 2x10, 4x8, 6x6, 2x12
                  Front Raises 2x12

                  Dumbbell Curls 2x12, 2x10, 4x8, 6x6, 2x12
                  Hammer Curls 2x12

                  Lying Triceps Press 2x12, 2x10, 4x8, 6x6, 2x12
                  Triceps Kickback 2x12

                  I'm waiting for the base exchange with all the sports equipment to get in some 8 and 10 lb dumbbells. OH if only I'd bought that 5lb barbell (with plates to go 9, 13 & 17) before the packers came last May!! I don't even want to know how much they would charge me to ship THAT over here! LOL

                  Edited to add: Okay, I just checked with Walmart.com and the shipping for it is only $8.97! Hmmm, may have to ask hubby for a late Christmas/early Valentine's gift.

                      Great Job Everyone I did my Cardio today I did one hour not the 20 minute Blast But, I used the same principles for my workout I am sooo tired and I think I am getting sick too YUUCK!!

                          Did Lower Body today and, no surprise, I still HATE LUNGES!!! But, I can't wait to see how my tuckus looks at the end of twelve weeks!

                            I can't wait for the Evil Lung Moster it's gunna be great. Hey I can't wait to see what we all look like at the end of 12 weeks.

                            Where is Everyones Pictures No need to POST be sure to take them ASAP as we are on Day 3 and we need then done ASAP. I will take mine today. I'll even post them on my Websight YAY ME if anyone elese wants to do that feel free I ahve a Photo Gallery on there.
