I started Atkins in September 2003, with total cholesterol at that time of around 200. With Atkins, it rose to an all time high of 255 last December. Since my ratios were good, I didn't sweat it too much, but I wasn't happy about that number either. About four months ago, for the first time, I started exercising like crazy. Just had my cholesterol checked, and total cholesterol dropped from to 172 with no change in diet. Triglycerides are 70, HDL 48, and LDL 110. Ratio is a perfect 3.6.
Whoo hooo!! Now I can eat how I LOVE to, exercise which is FUN, and have great cholesterol too!
