Re: Alright so I need to start Exercising

Dave the 6WEC is all about accountability, setting your schedule how every many days you want how every many min you want and then sticking to it. Every day after you sign up you post rest day workout day or what you did. sick day if sick or whatever you post and are accountable is all. some folk workout every day some folk workout 3 days a week some folk do hours some do mins. whatever your fitness level allows you to do is what you do.

      Well, just an update people.

I have signed up to the 6WEC! I have committed to 1/2 an hour three times a week of walking. I am to do more, but that's the minimum.

I have found walking in the morning before work better for me because I feel it wakes up the metabolism and also it's easy to do in the morning because at night you feel tired!

Dave, I'm sure you will do awesome!

Just start off with small exercise goals, and it makes it easier to achieve them, so its good motivation! Then once you finish your exercise goals, you can up the time and intensity, etc! I'm sure the 6WEC will work out great for you! I just joined myself too...signed up for 6 days a week of exercise..... minimum 1/2 hour.

Re: Alright so I need to start Exercising

Dave, so pleased you've decided to start walking. Listen to your body - even if you haven't walked as far as you had planned, if you are hurting, slow down or wind it up. Overexercise is as bad or worse than none, and it is us heavy people who overdo it because we are unaccustoimed to regular exercise. Your planned schedule sounds just right.

May I suggest a pedometer. I got mine on ebayfor 99 cents (plus $14.99 postage! ) and it has a pulse thingy on it. Link to guy's store is here
http://search.ebay.com.au/_W0QQsassZbusiness.aidQQhtZ-1 or you may get one at a sports store. It has really helped me keep track of what I am doing day to day.
