  • Need Treadmill Advice

Hey everyone. I love to go running but b/c of my little one, it's so hard to go out in the cold and go. I was thinking about getting a treadmill w/ my income taxes but I have NO idea what kind to get. I have no idea with the features or anything.

I'm checking my local paper for one that maybe someone is selling b/c I can't afford a new one...unless it is on some super blow out sale or something.

If you guys have any advise as to what kind of features I should look for, please let me know. I really appreciate this.

Thanks everyone! Have a great day!

2big4mysize or sadie@136 will be the best people to answer this one I think.

I do a lot of running on a treadmill, but I just use what is ever in whichever gym I am in at the time. I dont really take much notice of the features, but 2big will be very clued up on it all.

hi good for you. you want one that has hand rails wide enough foir your style of walking /running. you want a power incline, a padded deck helps alot with joint issues. you want power to don't get a manual treadmill they are cheap but terrible for working out and will end up as a clothes rack.

The best thing you can do is go to a store that has several models and get on them and test drive them. Take notes on what features you liked and what ones you didn't and then see what you want. Look of a store called New to You. they sell used sports equipment and back up their sales.
