I am Registering for the Halfer

Taking the Plunge here on the 16th I am registering. I wanted to do the FUll but, with injuries and such and my Kids recital on the same day I wanna be able to see them Dance I just can't so I am going to do the Half and I will set my sights on the full marathon next year either way I ahve the goal to do it and that's what matters.

It's 55 dollars if you register early so I am really excited about all this it's gunna be great.

I am going to get some new runners as well and Break them in over the month Before so that I don't ahve to worry about Blisters and such.

hey Sarah is there a price difference between the whole andhalf? if not why don't you sign up for the full knowing you will do the 1/2 and if by race week you are all better you could decide to go the full distance

At the Disney marathon, you couldn't sign up for the full and then opt for the half. I remember thinking 'dang, I should have gone the full 26.2 instead of the 13.1' .. but yanno, looking back now, I think it was wise to do the half marathon first and gradually build up to the big banana. Knowing you've finished a half marathon is a real mental boost as you train for the full. And I really believe that finishing a full marathon is more MENTAL than physical.
