    I actually have a question...I have been training for a half marathon in May and recently went back on Atkins, I'm finishing up induction and so far it is going GREAT! (6 pounds since Tuesday!) But, my running has suffered a little because my one leg cramps and I think that's what is causing my back to ache as well. I don't want to cut down on miles because my training is going so well, and I don't want to give up Atkins. I started taking Dieter's Advantage since it has the magnesium, potassium and calcium in it, and I take an extra calcium supplement. (I already take a good multi and oils) The DA has helped out somewhat, but I've only taken it a souple of days.

    I was just wondering how everyone here supplemented, or has it not been a problem for anyone else. And if you do supplement, what's worked the best.

      Great question!

      Congratulations on starting Atkins and training for that halfer! Wow, that's a fabulous combination!! GOOD FOR YOU!

      Are you stretching before and after your running? That can help alleviate some cramping. Also, are you well hydrated before you run? I would suggest a SF energy drink with extra minerals/electrolytes (how about the SOBE NoFear SF drink?) I love those!!

      Keep taking the potassium/calcium/magnesium; that should really help alot!

      And keep up the terrific work! Curious .. how far are you running these days??

        Saturday: 10k run (Armadillo Run XXIII) which I finished in an hour 6 minutes .. very happy with that time!

        One thing about finishing a marathon .. they make 10ks feel like a cake walk!
