I ran 6.8 on Sunday YAY me I was gunna do 13 but, my time was sooo limited so I opted for a hair raising interval run I was sweating and red and I know I worked it out really hard yesterday I was beat by the time I was done. This stuff is making my long runs that much easier which is awesome.

Hi everyone! Well, I ran for the first time today in....I think it's now about 11 weeks since I got sick with pnuemonia. I'm not 100% and my goal was to run just one mile. I did it, but believe me, it wasn't easy. I'm kinda down because I know I won't be ready to do my half marathon in May. My goal now is September. I'm still keeping my first triathlon goal for the end of June. It's also hard thinking I was up to 11 miles on my long run and I was hurting after one today. (my lungs that is). But, I did it and I'll take my time getting back up there. I started my weight training again yesterday too and found that I wasn't nearly as set back with that as I am with my running. I won't be back into the pool until next week. I know that'll be killer. I struggle with it the most with my asthma. Anyways, good to be back!!!

I did 3 miles last night (keeping on track with my half training schedule) and I've got 4.5 miles tonight, plus my new Slim in 6 Tape! I'm starting that today, having heard great things about it. I am hoping to strengthen my quads for running, and folks on this board rave about it, so I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

5 miles this morning. Still fighting this bug though, 3-1/2 minutes faster than last week but still 8 minutes off my best time. and 6 off my average. I need to get out running more, only four runs this month. Being sick is no excuse, there is no good excuse. I need to be faster and lighter (they go hand in hand, don't they?) for my reruns of last years races, plus my new ones.
