  • Slim in 6 ??

Hey you vidiots...I am a long time lurker. I started the SI6 dvd's 2 weeks ago. On Monday of this week I started with BIU.

Am I self defeating if I take a 10 minute break after the resistance band part? I find I can do the leg/abd parts much better if I have the break. I can tough it out but I feel like the moves are not as strong if I do the whole thing straight through. Opinions???

I am not concerned with the cardio part of it. I run 4 -5 miles x 4-5 days per week for cardio.

well, the first 2 weeks are just learning the moves and you can go at your own pace.So since you are doing the last part(2 weeks)you would still be learning how to do all the moves and get adjusted to everything.Don't worry you will eventually get used to it and it will be a breeze.Especially since you run every week too.

Take your break. As you get stronger, start shortening the break time. Eventually you can do the entire thing without a break. It's kinda like running....you didn't start running 5 miles on day 1, did you? You gotta work up to it. Patience, grasshopper!

The only reason not to take a break is to keep your heartrate up. If you're getting cardio elsewhere, you don't really need to worry about that. It's much better not to exhaust yourself and to get the moves down with good form.
