  • Induction, Curves & Exercise

Hello everyone, I'm in my second week of induction and some days better then others thats for sure.... not that I'm cheating by eating something not on the list but eating to much of veggies or something causing me to go over my 20 carbs a day. I have just been more hungry lately and cant understand why??? I know it's not because of my working out because I havent went in 4 days and feel like crap about that. I just cant go when the kids are home and then just put it off today grrrrrr.... SO, I called "Curves" I guess it is this work out center for women. I'm getting tired of the gym where I live because half the stuff is broke down and they wont fix it. I am going in the morning to check it out. I just wondered if anyone could give me a heads up about it before I just jump in. Any good or bad things you might have to say please speak up. The lady on the phone told me to be ready to work out... I just hope I don't pass out and realize the workouts I had been doing are nothing.

I was doing about 20min. on the bike, keeping it above 85,
reps of 25-30 with 20lbs weights and
    walking for about 15-20 min.

PS. How the heck do you make the name of the thread in bold???

      Re: Induction, Curves & Exercise

I joined curves last year, it was a present from my mother for Christmas 04.

I have tried gyms before and hated it.

I LOVED CURVES!!! The workout was quick, 30 minutes, but effective and they keep track of your weight, measurements and body fat. I absolutly loved curves, unfortunately I cannot afford it anymore so I can't go but if given the chance again I would be there in a heartbeat.

Go For It!! Have fun with you exercise.

I tried it last summer on a friend's guest pass. I loved it. I really, really enjoyed it. I already have a gym membership that is way cheaper than Curves. Actually, it's way cheaper than anything, so I can't give it up. But if I could I'd go to Curves. There was a girl there who had lost 70 lbs in 8 months just from watching her diet and going to Curves 3 or 4 times a week. Go! Have fun!!

A woman I work with has gone to Curves for a few years and she loves it. She's lost almost 100 pounds between exercise and low-carb. i think it's suited for women who do not benefit from traditional gym environments.
