  • help im lost

    Hey guys,

    i want to start going to the gym tomorrow, but i am at a loss of how how intense i should work on the elliptical. I can normally go for a good 45 mins. I want to lose atleast 5-7 lbs by my birthday which is April 13th (go Aries!!!) and utimately 35 lbs. Is that realistic? Please give me some advice....im lost.....

    My unprofessional opinion would be to work to the point that is a challenge, but doesn't make you dizzy. Is 45 minutes at a challenging intensity? If not, step it up and go for 20 and gauge how you feel.

      Sourpuff, I'm doing HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) on my elliptical. I bought a heart rate monitor to help me find my heart rate zones, but there are lots of articles on the net. I'll pm some info that 2big gave me that you might be interested in.

      I *love* it. I just did 45 minutes this morning and burned 798 calories according to my heart rate monitor, but the elliptical machine said I only burned like 400.
