Hello weekly runners! This weekly thread is filled with inspirational members and was wondering if there is a minimum mileage to join? I am definitely not up to the miles the rest of you are at (based on the posting from the previous week.)

And I like to run downhill, and walk back up, does that count?

kjspea, you are more than welcome to join. This thread is for anyone who runs (or anyone else for that matter). It's just a place to cheer each other on from people who love (or not) to run.

10 miles for me on Sunday. In 1 hour 42 minutes. I am not at all unhappy with that.

Super job, Rich!! Kjspea, you are totally welcome here. Anyone who puts forth cardio effort in any way, shape or form can post in this thread!

Well, Alberto definitely put limits on my run today, but I managed a quick 1.5 miles around the neighborhood between squalls. Better than nothing! And we got some MUCH NEEDED rain today .. over 3 inches! YAY!

Tomorrow I will be making up for lost time!

Glad to join in and thanks for the welcomes.

It looks like a nice start to week, great job everyone. It's great that you all still can work out with a TM, storm, whatever, that's dedication! I hope the storm does not hinder your running too much, Betty.

I am happy to report in that I can add to the mileage of the group, not by too much, but still...

Monday ~ 30 mins downhill/flat running, walking break, additional 15 mins
(approx 1/4 downhill? I am in San Francisco and hills are inevitable!)

I am sorry I have no idea what the actual mileage is, but my jog rate is a very slow pace, I think maybe between a 12-15 min mile??? I have never measured my rate and haven't really ever used a treadmill so I am taking a wild guess.

So my approximate Monday addition to the group is:
                      ~about 2 - 2.5 miles.

How do the rest of you measure your mileage?

If you can't pace it by car, the following website is great www.mapmyrun.com just click you starting point, all of your turns, and your endpoint and it will give a real accurate number. My run loop is 4.99 miles per the site.

Hi everyone! I have been absent with the running thread for a while. I have been running but not as much I was - busy with my son graduating from high school and his lacrosse games. Those are finally over and I am back at it - I ran 4 miles yesterday!

Happy running and I am SO happy to be back at it!

My Tuesday Mileage: 1.5 miles (running, mostly downhill), .8 walking

Thanks a lot for that mapping site jroche5998, what a great resource! It took me a few tries and had myself jumping under the Golden Gate Bridge for a swim in the ocean (twice!), but I finally figured it out. It's particularly useful because I use a trail in a former military base, so there was never a map I could use to figure out my mileage.

Welcome back, MaizeMarley, what a fine way to get back into things!
