    Out of curiosity... what are the benefits of them?
    Is it something that should be utilized more when working with weights??
    Is there a weight gain factor to them??
    Just wondering.....

    protein shakes shouldn't be the issue it is the formulas for the shake powder that are the issue.

    you will find some folk who don't understand human body metabolism who will swear you need then when you are doing weight training so you don't "eat" your opwn muscles for energy but they are wrong for folk already eating higher porotein plans like Atkins.

    Some shake mixes are very high carb or have other chems ion them like creatin which will cause muscle tisue to "Bulk" up by pulling fluid into the muscle tissue as part of its planned increase in muscle mass.

    If you enjoy the low carb pure protein ones use them as you would any other protein food as a part of your Atkins plan but remember to add a fat so your body doesn't get too much protein in one meal and give you blood sugar spikes cause of the protein being converted to sugar.

    just don't use them to do a slimfast style atkins cause then just like those slimfast losers you will not have practice and experience eating real foods so you know how much and who foods your body can and can't tolerate.
