    Me on my during my 10 mile road race! (Photo)



    Me during my ten miler, this was taken just by the last drinks station at the 8.5 mile mark. Unfortunately it looks like I am barely moving. At this point my knee was absolutely killing me, even with the red knee brace on. But I knew I was close to the end and just had to push on and finish. I finished 144th out of 225 (or so) people, in 1 hour 42 minutes ish.

    It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!




    I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

      What an achievment rich

      I cannot remember the last time i ran anywhere (sometime back in highschool i think...and that was probably only the 100 metres race) ,walking is about the most i can manage these days and to be able to at least jog for 1 mile is one of my goals....10 miles !!!! wow,you should be so proud of yourself for finishing.

        Great job, Rich! Believe me, I know that "pain pose" .. I have one of those from my marathon and when I look at the picture even now, it makes me hurt!

                  Thanks everyone.

                  2big, its been a month since I last run, as there was a niggling pain in my knee since then. However the last week has seen a big improvement, so I will be giving it a trial tonight and doing a 2 miler just before the world cup final.

                  There is a 5 k (3 mile) race in my home town on Wednesday, so I am hoping that I am back to normal) especially as I only have 10 weeks until my first half marathon.
