  • Just ordered 'Walk Away The Pounds'

I vaguely remembered someone on here mentioning it before, just after I signed up.

I ordered the Super Fat Burning DVD of them all. Any recommendations as to what others, if any, I should invest in?

I also just started walk away the pounds! Its great for me because im not in the best shape to do hard core exersize abd these videos get your heart rate where it needs to be there easy and not hard on your joints or muscles, an overall effective and comfortable way to burn caleries, just remember to hold tummy muscles in like they say and stick with the pace and let me know how ya like it!! I alsso tried tae bo. Mistake.. too strenuous thats for people that are already ripped !!

I like the WATP tapes, but if it gets to tame for you, turn down the sound, add your own music and jog along

I love the WATP workouts! I have several and are a great way to get started. I will be using them to get going again.

Slim in 6 is great as well, but I wouldn't recommend it for beginners

I love my WATP. I have just the 1 mile and 2 mile. I guess there are more advanced ones. They are great for getting started and I like to use them on rainy days or between gym days and I also bring them to the cottage so I can work out on my vacation. I find them very fun and they don't require much coordination (which is great cuz I don't have any!)

Ditto on that! You do get tired of listening to Leslie after awhile. I do the same thing Desert. Watch and listen to my own music.

They are very good to help you move and burn calories though and worth the money spent.

Re: Just ordered 'Walk Away The Pounds'

I have never used the tapes but my mom does and she likes them alot.

I have used Slim in Six, which is a very good workout and kicks your butt!

I also tape shows from the fitness channel and use them as my workouts. I get tired of the same ol tapes so I like to switch it up. I also lower the volume on them and use my own music, their voices can be annoying after a while.

                Good luck!

i have a newborn baby, when he gets a little older then im gonna step upn the pace and find a safe place to walk im right in the midle of the city limits and theres a lot of traffic and some crime around here other than that when the weather isnt hot i go to my sisters house who lives a hour away and she watches my baby so i can walk where she lives which is in a more boring town, nothin hardly ever happens there.!!!!

Re: Just ordered 'Walk Away The Pounds'

That's why I bought the tapes, too. I live in an apartment complex with about 50 other people, but there's NOWHERE to walk to, apart from a gas station at the end of the road. And I wont ever go there, because it looks very scary. There's very little of a sidewalk, and the Interstate ramp is there, so it's not really somewhere to walk, alone or with someone else.

I usually drive to my old house an hour away, park outside and walk there because it's a much nicer area lol.

UPDATE: I received my copy of WATP this morning, and all I can say is.....

                      OH MY..........

Of all the exercise DVDs I've tried, all the aerobic work outs, this one ROCKS! I got the 3 mile Fat Burning one, and it's fabulous! Yes, it's repetitive, but it's the same 4 steps over and over. I love it!

I made my way through the whole thing, and felt like I'd lost about 10lbs through sweating lol. But it was worth it, and now I'm soo ready to go do something! It boosted me. I'm always lazy, because I dont do anything, but this is great!!

These tapes are great, especially if you don't want to or can't walk outside. By the way, as you build up your stamina, you can use heavier weights.

I used my 2kg (4.4lb) hand weights today, but I'll build up to heavier weights I was so happy when she did the exercise to banish the bingo-wings, lol
