New Tennies!!!

I went out this morning and bought some new shoes. My old ones were looking pretty bedraggled . Anyway, the new ones are Asics Gel 1110's - Quick Silver/Navy/Lime. Very Colorful ! I went to a running specialty store where I had purchased my last pair almost 18 months ago . The salesman suggested getting the same (only updated) shoe I was currently wearing. The old ones were in very baaaaaadddddd shape.

I can't believe the difference in how these new ones feel. It feels like I'm walking on air! I am a pretty avid walker and want to take up jogging in the near future. It is suggested to replace your shoes about every 300 miles or so. I think my old ones were long overdue. I can't wait to wear these on my walk tonight. I plan to mark my calendar and get into the habit of replacing my shoes about every 3 to 3 1/2 months. (I walk about 3 miles per day and sometimes more).

I hurt my feet by doing too much with crappy shoes on and probably barefoot on concrete too, it's called Plantar Fasciitis.

You might want to quickly read this link because I had no idea I was hurting myself... I thought I had a stone bruise! It simply starts with being stiff feeling in the morning.

Anyway, I had to buy support tennis shoes with cushion and ended up spending $90 on Adidas Supernovas (running shoes) - they have really made an improvement in the way my feet feel already! Adidas says to try them for 28 days and wear them everywhere and if you don't love them they'll give you all your money back! That was why I decided on them but really, I think they are worth it!
