  • exercised for the first time today

    I was able to do the exercise bike for 15 minutes (while watching Soapnet!!) tonight for the first time. My neighbor was moving and she gave me the bike a few months ago, and I'm just using it now. I was supprised how quickly I got tired, but I feel like if I keep at it, I'll work up to longer and longer, and then maybe it will start to help to melt the fat off my body. I'm gonna try to do it 5 days a week, even if its only for a few minutes rite now, at least its a start. Also if anyone has any suggestions for me, I'd love any and all feedback. Thanks a bunch.

        Good news! That's exactly what's going to happen if you keep at it, there's no "maybe" about it!

          Yippeeee! Starting to exercise is the wisest thing you could do! Congrats and hang in there.... exercise really works!

              Great job on beginning to exercise. I began exercising the beginning of June. I walk mostly, but also include tennis, golf, water aerobics and biking. Now I am exercising every day, at least 40 minutes per day. Last Thursday I exercised for a total of 2 1/2 hours (broken up of course). I feel like my day is not complete if I haven't exercised.

              You will be successful if you continue and make it part of your daily routine. It also helps if you enjoy what you are doing. The exercise bike is great if you have something else to focus on while doing it. Watching TV definitely helps keep your mind focused elsewhere.

              Congrats! Keep up the great job. You will see those pounds and inches melting away in no time .

                Thanks everyone for all the encouragement. I did it again last night, and it's not so bad. I'm going to stick with it. I was tinking that I've never had any willpower to stick with anything this long before. Don't know what happened, but I'm doing good with my eating and now I'm exercising too. Go me!!
