    Aaaw, shucks! Notice, I didn't flash a full body shot. I'm NOT that brave. It was hard enough posting that.

    But, yeah...rent the exercise DVD's before you buy them... If you're anything like me, I, 1. Usually have good intentions, until I do the blasted thing. 2. Do it and then pull my back out. 3. Get bored. 4. Start picking apart those chicks bodies until I can't stand to look at them anymore, or 5. Conveniently misplace it.

    Man, I'm lazy! LOL

      LOL, Yep, I'm lazy too when it comes to intentional excercise! Geez, I feel like I do enough just keeping the house clean, the laundry done and doing all the cooking! Not fair I tell you, not fair!

      Oh, and you notice I don't have any full body shots posted either! someday, if I ever reach goal I will!

        I've reluntantly started going to our local community pool. I like it cause it's low impact, (bad back) and I don't sweat! But, hubby says one day "but, you got to go to the pool"... I'm like, "Trust me, if I didn't have to go, I wouldn't!!"

        I wish I were one of those people who got "high" off of excercising. If I did...maybe-- quite possibly I'd continute without the complaining... but, until then, it's a fight!

          Working in the garden = walking (around in yard), toe-touches (pulling weeds) , weights (lifting tomatoes etc)
          Working in house = step climbing (even if only up & down a stoop), repetition exercises (sweep, vacuum, scrub, carry & fold laundry etc)
          TV potato can be = done on a gym ball, done while tugging a stretch band, done while on a rocking horse etc.
          The best, most fun suggestion is of course a TOS violation to mention...

            I just signed up with Curves today. I had tried the 2 week free membership with the Splenda promotion that they had (you get 6 guest passes, 3 per week).

            They currently have a promotion where you pay half of the signup fee (one time fee) and then you don't pay for your first month until Sept. 5. Basically you are getting one month free and have off the signup fee.

              I'm totally with you, Dawn, on wishing I loved exercise. I mean, I do get a high...sort of...and I certainly KNOW FOR A FACT the results I'll get are amazing...but for the life of me, I just can't get off my *** and do it!

                Another exercise hater here.

                I really liked Curves though......... until I began to have shoulder problems. Had to give up my membership.

                Do you like to dance? If you do then just put on some dance tunes and shake your booty all over the house and get that heart rate up! Works for me! The music gets me going even when I dont feel like moving.

                  I loathe exercising, but once I do it I always feel better. I started working out first for the stress relief from my job and of course I am reaping the physical benefits!

                  I switch around a bunch of different dvds to keep it interesting:

                  *Carmen Electra's Aerobics Striptease - set of 5 dvds
                  *Crunch Cardio Dance Blast
                  *Crunch Fat-Burning Pilates
                  *Budokon
                  *Self Bikini Ready Fast (weight lifting)
                  *Jeff Costa's Strip Aerobics

                  I belong to a gym, but haven't gotten the nerve to go back in almost a year (eek!). Hopefully, I'll return soon.

                  I have been a member at Curves in the past and I highly recommend it for starting out a fitness routine. It's not a long workout (unless you make it that way) and you are only at one "station" for a little bit so you don't get bored as easily.

                  Since you have ankle problems I'd suggest swimming, pilates, or doing the recumbent bike.

                    Yeah I hate exercising too. I have a pilates video but I can't force myself to get down on the ground and do it.

                    So I ordered a bunch of belly dancing videos, because I *can* get myself to dance. I decided that my reward for getting to goal (130) is going to be a $230 belly dancing costume.
