  • Question about lower abs...please help!

Hey guys. I'm really starting to get into weight training now, I love it and am also walking 35-45 mnts daily. Anyway, my situation is this:
In 1995 after my second c-section and after gaining 82 lbs and losing the weight in only 4 mos-don't ask it wasn't healthy....so, I now have extra skin on my lower abs. It is so gross and embarrassing.
1: Can I even do anything about that-exercise wise? If so, what ab exercises?

2: What ab exercisis will give me that HOT "v" going down from my abs to my pelvis?

    3. And lastly are there any waist (to decrease) exercises I can do that work?

    Please help...thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also had the same problem after two C-sections. I never got rid of the excess skin but I did have success in shrinking it by gaining muscle and a flat tummy after doing a variety of lower and upper abs exercises that produced relatively fast results. I did between 50-100 abs exercises on a regular basis (daily to start with) for many years after both my C-sections and it worked for me until I had a skiing accident, did my knee in, became inactive and gained a lot of weight in a very short time. As Dr Atkins said .. "exercise is non-negotiable", I was silly to just give it all up from one day to the next. So I have learnt my lesson and I luckily still have the strong muscles in my tummy (and a cranky knee), but now they are covered by a layer of fat which is now slowly shrinking away thanks to Atkins. Why not try some of the core exerices listed in this link and join us in the abs challenge http://sparkpeople.com/resource/exercises-printable.asp
