Just back from a holiday and returned the same weight as I left, but tummy looks a little flatter.
During my vacation I was not able to cyle (real bike on real roads) but did swim (breastroke) for over an our each day in three sessions.
Clearly this involves muscles not used in cycling, and maybe some abdominal muscles have firmed up.
Now I love cycling and swimming but hate all those mindless excercises at home or in a Gymn where I am blasted with music which is not to my taste.
I have read somewhere that firming up abdominal muscles is a waste of time until body fat is removed, so general excercise to keep metabolism and energy expenditure high is what is needed.
When I get to Germany next month I am hoping there will be a local pool I can use daily in combination with cycling.
If all I am looking for is a flat tummy and not a macho six pack, what is the best policy?
