  • Cool-Running for the week of Sept 3rd

In Betty's absence, she has asked me to start his thread this week.

Sunday - I ran 11 miles in training for my half marathon. Happy with my time, I "ran" the whole way in a time of 1:52:36

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

Hello! I had a brief absence from the board, due to a new job and a few other (good) life changes, but I'm back and running, as usual. I'm hoping to build up my miles again now that it's cooled off. Tonight is 5 miles for me.

Reveal, I am immensly (sp?) jeolous that you are going to be getting out for a run tonight. I have done something to my toe and can hardly walk let alone run.

Oh, I forgot to add something else. I had my yearly physical last week, and since last April (05 - when I started running) my HDL "good" cholesterol has *doubled* and my LDL has shot down. My doc said "yeah, that's the running!" I was so excited!

          I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!

Thanks, Rich, for keeping the thread going for me!!

We had a terrific time on vacation .. rode all the rides, enjoyed the COOL (if not COLD) weather up there along Lake Erie ... it was in the upper 50s early in the mornings when I would go out to run. Managed to get in 16 miles of running during the week!

Well, as they say, all good things must come to an end, so here I go, back to work ... I did run 5.2 miles this morning ... not too bad as I try and get back into full swing again!

          Have a great day, everyone!

Saturday, 9/9: 11.3 miles run this morning, in 2 hours 15 minutes. 1,151 calories burned.

                Weekly total: 5.25, 5.2, 5.2, 11.3 = 26.95
