  • question about sore abs

    I just started doing some abdominal exercises yesterday and today I am very sore. A friend of mine told me that it is OK to do the exercises again today and that it wouldn't hurt my muscles, but I am not sure. Should I wait until I am not sore and then continue? I am not used to exercising so please forgive my ignorance.

    if it hurts that means it's a good thing. your body just isn't used to it thats all, the more often you do it the less painful it is. consistency is the key. as long as you aren't killing yourself you can work out 7 days a week no problem.

      Yes, initial soreness/stiffness is to be expected when you aren't used to it. Just stay consistent, as djfmf said and you will be fine.
