    Re: RUN my A$$ off??

I found that running was the best exersize for me for weight loss, especially in my hips waist and legs. It's not however my favourite exercise. It was hard at first for me to get motivated as well but once i started to see results, that was all the motivation i needed.

There isn't really a set time to run, it would alld epend on your current fitness level etc. What i did to start (i had never been a runner) was do the couch to 5k program on this website: www.coolrunning.com I know there's a few people that have been successful on it. I could only run 2 mins at a time when i first started, now I can run 5k without any problem.

that is a fun one and many here have used it. Brook was even interviewed about Atkins on TV and filmed doing the exercise part of the C25K program which we knew was why she was alternating runniing and walking.

              Re: RUN my A$$ off??

My best suggestion is to get into a routine with it. Just commit to being on it every or every other day for 5-10 minutes. Who cares about the mph it says! The point is you are doing something that last week you weren't. You can always work on the speed later or work out longer in the future. Getting in habit of just being on the thing will set yourself up for all sorts of future success.

                    Re: RUN my A$$ off??

I've never, ever ever been a runner in my life! When i quit smoking in July I started running. I've been sort of doing the couch to 5K program. When I first started, I could only run for like 30 seconds. Between being overweight and really bad cardiovascular health from the smoking and sedentary lifestyle...it was slow going. Worth it though. I'm finding that I really like it and look forward to it.

I've been running for about 3 months....I started 30 seconds of running and am just now getting 5-10 minutes at a time before I have to walk.

Anyway....I've been seeing results for a few weeks now.
