    I'm not a member of Planet, but not grunting or making some sort of explosive noise is wrong when lifting...it leads to holding your breath which isn't good either for form or your blood pressure (around the eyes mainly).

    Seems they could modify the rule a bit and find a happy medium. I agree that I don't enjoy the primal screams or huge drops some heads employ, but there IS a nice area between that and sipping tea that they could utilize. :-(

      I think the no dropping weights thing is kinda nifty personally. I know there are people who do the seated calves and throw 45lb plates on there when you're on the elliptical or treadmill and it literally makes you jump 'cause it's sooooooo loud. It's almost enough to give a person a heart attack sometimes. Then again, I suppose doing cardio would help in not having a heart attack....
