I picked up a pair of new running shoes. How should I go about breaking them in? Should I just jump right in and do my normal routine? Should I wear them a little at a time? What is the best way?
Thanks.

I got new ones a week ago and just jumped right in. You might take it easy the first day to make sure they fit right and there are no problems of that nature. But they should be ready to go day one.

Exactly - running shoes (or any shoes for that matter) should not need to be broken in. If they do then they are wrong for your feet.
I'd wear em around the house, and out on errands and get them just a little broken in. If you have any kind of foot troubles, it could hinder a run...If they feel great, give em a test drive and then break them in if they are worrisome....some shoes are very flexible and others need a little help....in no time they will be fine.
