Well, today marks the end of my 2006 running. My goal was to run 1,500 miles during the year ..
I am happy to report that I finished with 1,539.25 miles, logging my miles using the pedometer on google ... according to my route, my running took me from my home in Tampa, Florida, through Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and 1/2 way across Iowa again. To see my route, please click the link in my siggy and then zoom out until the entire route is displayed.
It truly has been a fun achievement; to set a goal and see it achieved and exceeded is truly beyond words.
Next challenge is the 26.2 mile marathon at Disneyworld next Sunday! I know its gonna be tough, but I have trained long and hard for it, so I'm ready to take on the challenge!!!
PAIN IS TEMPORARY; PRIDE LASTS FOREVER!
Whatever *your* personal goal is, STICK WITH IT. Don't give up; don't give in!!!!
Thanks to all who have encouraged, inspired and motivated me!!!
Betty
PS .. My goal for 07? 1,600 miles!
