  • Low impact excersise.

    I suffer from very week feet, walking and standing is difficult for me, I realize this might go away after some of this weight comes off, but in the meantime, standing and walking up and down steps, is highly painful. I have had 5 surgeries on my left foot and my right foot now has a fracture in it.

    My question is, is there some type of low impact excersise advice anyone can give me to al least get some movement going?

    Getting on the floor is not an option as I am unable to get back up. Maybe there is something I can do when I am laying in bed or sitting at my desk until the fracture has healed.

    Absolutely, you can do things with your arms. Anything to get your heart rate up. You can wave your arms around...."dance" with your arms while seated. Turn on some music that gets you wanting to move around. Close your eyes and shake that thang! While you are doing it, picture the slim you that is dancing her way out. I truly truly believe that if YOU believe it can happen, it will. The way you make yourself believe is to visualize it often.

    Soooooooooooo, turn on some happy music (check out "Unwritten" by Natasha Beddingford) and get those arms dancing (you can also move your arms, hips, waist, whatever you can get going) and start working on the new you.

    Also, weight training is also FANTASTIC because the more muscle you build, the more calories/fat you will burn. So, get yourself some hand weights (or some of that canned-carby food you'll no longer be eating) and start lifting, doing shoulder presses, bicep curls, tricep extensions. http://exercise.about.com/cs/exercis...seexercise.htm

      I had actually been thinking about the cans..now the question is tomato juice cans or green beans.or maybe I can even drop a couple cans in a sock it increase the weight..lol..or fill empty gallon jug's.

        Absolutely! I am a firm believer in strength training, it's made such a difference in me. I like being able to see progress by adding more and more weight. You'll be able to do that too. Graduate up to bigger cans, gallon jugs filled with water or sand. It's something that gives you results in your appearance, but also see progression.
