  • Cool Running for the week of Jan 6, 2007

I'll start the new thread even though a few extra posts were in last weeks (including mine).

5 miles this morning, decent pace, was on the home stretch in the zone physically and mentally until I was ripped out of my reverie by a moron who decided to clip me with his car. I'll post the whole story in another thread.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

Five mile late lunchtime run. Felt heavy, slow, and too many clothes. It was just barely above freezing, but the hat and gloves came off at the 2 mile mark. Fastest time of 07 (54:17) but still a couple of minutes off the pace of where I want to be.

I'm curious which will I rebreak first, 300 lbs or 50 minutes, or both at the same time?

Another five miles this morning. Felt slow, was slow, my legs felt so heavy, not sure why. 56:05 lose some more pounds and the minutes will drop as fast.

Jim, are you all recovered since getting hit by the car? I hope so ...

No run for me today, but will go for a 7 miler tomorrow morning.

Yeah, I'm fine, there really was no recovery necessary. It really was no worse than a really hard punch. I will admit that everytime I run by that spot (twice so far) I do get a bit squirrelly, but I'm sure that will pass.
