  • ADBB Exercise of the Day 1/17/07


    Dumbell Shruggs
    Starting Position
    Begin by standing with your feet shoulder width apart and your knees slightly bent. Hold the dumbbells to your side with your palms facing inward.

    Action
    EXHALE: Slowly lift your shoulders straight up, keeping your arms straight. Hold for 1-2 seconds.

    INHALE: Slowly lower down to starting position. Try doing 2 sets of 10-12 repetitions.

    Special Instructions
    Do not roll your shoulders.

    Muscles Worked: Upper back, Shoulders, Neck

    this makes my shoulders and the back feel good. it just seems to get things all lined up and works the kinks out. did some of them yesterday and they have become a regular part of of exercise "routine".

        I should so try this - I get all kinked up in the back from hunching over a desk all day. When I run the pain sorts of ebbs out and it's hard to keep going sometimes. I'll try this before I go running next time.
