  • what time of day...

    do you all exercise? I commute 90mins to 2 hours each way to work in Manhattan and I belong to a gym a block from my office. My options are as follows:

    1) catch a 5/5:30am train, wear my gym clothes and carry my suit, hit the gym before work.

    2) hit the gym after work...I can never seem to leave at 5pm so remember 2 hours from the time I leave for home until I actually get there.

    3) block out an hour daily for lunch to go. this seems like the most logical option, I guess...

    Any people in similar situations? Just looking for like-minded people to keep me motivated!

    For me I find that the farther on the day goes - the more likely I am to whimp out. So I like to get it done right away and as early as possible. I have a one hour commute to the university and then I'm stuck in classes and studying until I go home to pick up the kids. Thus, I drop everybody off by 7:45 and then head to the local national forest for a hike and run in order to be all done by 9:00. Sometimes I just skip the after shower and use lots of deoderant but I suppose in a work environment you can't really do that. Weight training is an every other day thing so on the days I don't do the hike I *sometimes* wait until the evenings to do that because it's a home gym.
    Female - Age 30 - 6 feet tall
    Starting weight in June of 2005: 220 lbs size 14/16
    Did my own "diet" and it took me forever to lose.

    Mid-Weight in June of 2006: 196 lbs size 12/14 Decided to get serious and start Atkins on July 15th.

    Weight in January of 2007: 169 lbs size 8
    Goal? To be solid and tight with no flab!
