    Yes, yes yes!!!

Today I ran the Gasparilla 1/2 Marathon here in Tampa .. new PR of 2:29:55. That's much faster than my 1/2er on 12/10 which was 2:36:56, and 24 MINUTES FASTER THAN MY 1/2 ON JANUARY 6, 2006! 24 MINUTES FASTER IN 13 MONTHS!! Yes, I am darned happy with that !

Great stuff in sneaking under that magical 2 hours 30 mark Betty. I am really pleased for you. Whats your next goal?

Re: New 1/2 Marathon PR !!

I'm really not sure, Rich. I'll keep training .. learning new things .. trying new methods ..

I am really learning to LOVE training .. its taught me so much about running .. things I never knew before .. Its taught me to reach deep within myself. I now know that there's a whole lot more than I am capable of than I ever dreamed possible. I mean, I am 51 years of age, and yet I feel 20-something when I run, yanno?

I have been reading Jeff Galloway's book "Running till you're 100" .. what an insightful read its been .. I am learning so much. I refuse to stress out about goals, but rather, to love the experience of running. To use running to DIFFUSE the stress in my life rather than add to it ..

I so love running. I'm probably as fast as I'll ever be, and yet, to me, its really not about being fast as it is to enjoy the journey..........had you told me 10 years ago that I would be a bonafide runner .. well, I would have laughed you out of town.

Its been an amazing trip thus far. To me, the ultimate goal would be running until I'm 80+ ..
