I'm thinking of adding trail running to my workout. I have wide feet with very shallow arches. (and a history of back, leg, and feet issues) Is there a trail running shoe that you can recommend?

Re: Trail Running Shoes
Sorry i dont have much experience (or any really LOL) running on trails, though I do know having the proper shoes is definately imperative to any running program, the wrong shoes aggrevated problems i had with my knees. I'd say you should definately do some research.
here is a great discussion board for running http://www.coolrunning.com/cgi-bin/ubb/Ultimate.cgi Do a search on trail shoes, or post the question there and you will probably get some good feedback.Jen, 39, F

Re: Trail Running Shoes
Asics are supposed to be really good running shoes and they have about 5 versions designed for trail running. I think Adidas and New Balance have some too, which means Nike probably would as well... I'm not sure out of the last 3 who would win for them though... I would say check out the websites, and maybe look for reviews online from folks who have bought the shoes that you think you'd maybe want to buy?27/f/5'10"

Re: Trail Running Shoes
I wear New Balance and I couldnt be happier. If you have a Big 5 near you, they always have sales on them. because of your arch problem, i would also invest in an arch support or extra cusion. Trail running means you'll be pounding the **** out of those shoes and your poor feet so the more pading between you and the ground, the better.
