I am thinking of buying a treadmill for my house, I have really always wanted one since that is mainly what I use when I go to the gym, what do you guys think about this, do you have one in your home an if you do how has it been. I think the main thing for me is actually making that drive to the gym once i'm there I usually spend about an hour on the treadmill, i'm thinking if I have one in my house it would get me to work out alot more, any thoughts?

Out of all of the machines in the gym, the treadmill is the piece of equipment that I use the most. I love it. However, (and this really is just my opinion), I dont think I would ever actually buy one for myself. The treadmills in the gym are quite sturdy and do look as if they could be quite expensive. The affordable ones that I see in shops here (in England), dont look that strong.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!
I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

That is true, some of the cheaper one's i've seen don't look all that sturdy, but if you spend a little more you can find some pretty good one's, i'm thinking of spending no more then 800.Comment

I have a portable treadmill. I only use it when it is too cold outside to go walking or I don't make it to the rec center to walk with the walking club. I prefer walking outdoors. The apartments I lived in last year had two very modern electric ones that I used, and they were great.
Mine is a used one I bought from a lady at the AFB - she wanted to get rid of it as her husband was being deployed and she was moving back with her mom. It is manual and has three inclines....but it is better than nothing.
One thing that I have that I'd recommend is getting a pedometer and always try to get 10,000 or more steps in every day.Starting Date 3/12/04 285/165/145 - F
