  • Can't go to gym this time around

Well i finally finished classes, so i'm back at home with my mom's cookin so i can start atkins... Well the only thing though is that i can't go to gym and work out this time around in which i did while i was doin atkins everytime..
The only exercise i'm doin is bikin about an hour everyday, which i don't know if it's enuff...

Usually when i do atkins, the first week i lose alotta weigh, but this time i haven't seen a weigh-loss since the first day... (it's been like the 5th time), i know ur gonna tell me not to go by the scale and all... Although i can feel the weight loss i think...

So how bad or not bad is it not to work out and instead bike everyday?

FYI, i'm a 20 yo male weightin at 240... My highest ever... first year university and residence life really screwed me up...

For what its worth, 1 hour of cycling a day is good. The recomendation is atleast 30 minutes of cardio a day. 60 minutes is better!

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

You can do lots of weight bearing exercises at home.

      Pushups
Tricep Dips (all you need is a couple chairs or coffee table/chair)
      Sit ups
Fill milk jugs with water or sand and use them for weights for curls and bench presses etc.

For cardio, you can walk, run, jog, bike, jump rope, skip, hop, dance, whatever suits you and gets your heart rate up.

You don't need a gym at all.
