  • Is this possible???

    Hey guys--I started the August Abs Challenge yesterday. Is it possible that two days of crunches after such a long exercise hiatus could have made my scale jump up a half pound? Sore muscles holding onto water or something? I find it hard to believe I've gained half a pound of muscles in just 166 crunches--haha--but I was *not* happy with the .5lb increase, especially on my last day of induction.

    I know, I know--it's only half a pound. But the numbers have *not* gone up in 13 days, and I am obviously impatient Just wondered if the crunches could have triggered this slight (and hopefully temporary) gain.

    Any thoughts?

    though muscles take up less room, they do weigh more than fat, that is why you will find most people recommend checking the tape measure each week as well as the scales.

      I would say its likely to be co-incidental that that has happened just after 166 crunches, personally I think its something else.

      It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!




      I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

        Thanks for your responses. I don't know what's going on, but I've added another half pound as of this morning. I'm really upset.

        Guess I'll up my water intake and just hope for the best.
