    When im doing 100-200 pushups a day should i take time off or should i jsut keep doing them everyday?

    A good rule of thumb when excercising, is always listen to your body. Do what you can when you can. Dont try and do too much too soon.

    It will not harm you to have the occasional rest day from one specific excercise, on the contary, you should rest every now and then. But just because you are resting from pushups doesnt mean that you can't do any other type of excercise.

    Aim for at least 30 minutes of cardio vascular work a day.

    I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

      Rich, so even on my 'rest day' I should do a 30 minute cardio?
      I'm doing 5 days a week of exersize... 2 mile walk, 3 mile bike abs and pushups and stretching...everything on those 5 days... I thought I should take a rest from all of it all at once... 2 days per week but not back to back... is that okay or should I still try to do 30 minutes of something maybe completely different cardio? My whole goal was to get my miles in without killing myself and this seemed a good way...
      My whole routine takes about an hour altogether...maybe a little more... sometimes I break it up into two sessions for the day. Since I started doing this I have only had one rest day... (aug) and it was a busy day otherwise. (Overall have tremedously more energy than I've had in ages...since starting this WOL in May..)
      anyway, what's you're opinion... no rest days? I'm so confuse!

        If you are cardio'ing 5 days a week, that should be fine. Sorry if my previous post was misleading.

        I was just suggesting that the aim is atleast 30 mins of excercise a day is the recomended amount in life in general.
