I have been doing fairly well getting in cardio-running on the treadmill a 3 days a week. I use the ab lounge daily as well as do (or attempt rather) pushups. I am now ready to start stregth training, but I need ideas. I am trying to not spend money on a gym membership and plan to get a weight bench in the near future. I have 1, 2, 3, and 5 pound weights (2 of each). I also have exercise bands and a stability ball. Thanks for your help!

They have some good exercises. I think you can probably find some dvd's to help you use the stability ball. You might try ebay.
I got Kathy Smith's "Lift Weights to Lose Weight" dvd. She helps you get your form right.
Lifting weights is a great way to reshape your body and give muscle definition and tone. It also helps you burn fat faster, and that's always good.
I started with 2 and 3 pound weights and have built up to 8 and 10 pounds--that's only been a couple of months. It feels great to feel stronger!
Congratulations on deciding to get more active and improve yourself!Caryl
