  • squat ?

    squats- what exactly will it do for my body? I dont have a big rear, i actually would love to build that area. I'm apple shaped so below the kness are thin, so will squats make my quads really big? I dont want big quads and lil drum stick legs(below the knees. Any adivce would be appreciated. Anyone planning on doing a squat challenge?
    PS what a good amount of ssquats to build the rear and give it shape???

    There's a squat challenge going on now, I may be the only one participating right now, though.

    Squats help tighten your bottom and shape your legs. Most women don't have to worry about really big legs from exercise. I don't notice that my legs are that much bigger, they just look nicer.

    I'd start squats with the number that you feel your muscles burning, keep it up until it's more comfortable then move up 5 more reps at a time. I'm definitely not an expert, but it's worked OK for me.

    I'm apple shaped too--getting less so, though!
