how much exercise do you need to do (newbee)
September 12, 2007, 06:05 PM
I just started this week and was wondering if doing a step machine for 30 mins and walking on the treadmill for 30 min 4 days a week is ok. I work and full time and when I get home I am so tired I also get bored quickly with work outs.Help!!!!

Sounds great! Go for it!
After awhile you'll want to add some resistence or weight training, to help build lean muscle mass.
Start date: 7/29/2007
Scale: SW:235 CW:193
GW:150
Tape Measure: I've lost 42.5 inches as of 3/15/2008
Mini goals:
215 - met 9/10/07
205 - met 10/17/07
195 - met 2/20/08
180
I survived a two-month stall!

The standard I see for beginners is exactly what you are doing, 30 minutes a day for 3 to 4 days a week.
