  • upper back exercises ?

I'm using hand weights 5 lbs and i have a set of 8 lbs. I've done 1500 abs for sept and noticed my lower back looks like less fat. I need to work on my upper back fat. What exercise can i do using the hand weights? I do about 25 shoulder shrugs hold and release. I read thats good for shoulders and upper back-is that true?Any tips/advice would be appreciated!Aimee

Bent over rows would be good. http://www.shapefit.com/middle-back-...bell-rows.html

I love this website for picking out exercises for all over your body.

Keep in mind, however, that it is IMPOSSIBLE to spot reduce any particular part of the body. If that were the case, my fat thighs would have been the FIRST thing to go instead of the last!!! YET, weight training your entire body will help get those back fat rolls gone pretty quick if the results of our members here are any indication. The more muscle you build (and it doesn't matter WHERE you build it) the more fat you will burn all the time. Muscle is a metabollically active tissue, meaning it needs fuel all the time and burns calories just existing. So, the more muscle you have, the more fat you will burn. BODY BUILD!

I use 5lb dumbbells to do 100+ uppercuts in each arm, each day. You really feel it in your middle and upper back!

You're welcome Aimee and thank you too...I hope the info is helpful. Let me know if you find anymore back fat exercises, so far that's the only one I've done other than rows.
