Well that is sure frustrating. I know I have been working out almost every day for months now. Was stalled for the last 2 months weight wise, but the scale started moving in the last 2 weeks. Just hang in there. The exercise has got to be making you feel better, and I 'll bet the before/after pictures will show you a big difference!

Why must it be so bizarre? lol

Quit the tapes, lost the 6 pounds gained within one week and now have dropped down to a new low. Maybe I'll try them again when I weigh less.

Yay for bump-on-a-log! lol

Hi mrsscrooge and barbde! :wave
I have jumped on the Slim in 6 bandwagon. I can already tell that I will be spending a lot of my ADBB time right here on this thread. I ordered the videos and they came right in time for my Sunday work out (and the start of 6Week Exercise Challenge #16. So I did Start it Up yesterday! Now let me say... I've been working out for the past 6 weeks 4xweek, and before that between 2 and 3 times a week, so I am no big slacker, and I've been working out now constantly for the past 1.5 years... but THIS tape... is a whole different ball game. Let me just say that MY ENTIRE BODY ACHES. I can't even walk down the hallway at my office without thinking about the pain in my thighs. LORD HAVE MERCY ON MY MUSCLES!

I am still being strict, on induction, and eating on induction friendly foods but between yesterday and today I gained 2 pounds. I was SHOCKED but I see that I am not alone. I took my measurements yesterday too and am excited to see what will happen in the next week. I think I'll stick w/ Start It Up for at least 3 or 4 days, I think I'll do Ramp It up when the weekend hits so I'll have time to soak in a tub afterwards. I'm SO glad to have found this thread. Now I have someone to relish w/ me while I experience this new found pain in my ***! LOL! :yes

Good luck!!

I need my spirits lifted :sadblinky . I did Start it Up (SIU) for 2 days. My body hurt sooooooo badly I couldn't BELIEVE it. So I did Slim and Limber a few times and had a friend massage my quads. It definitely helped - enough for me to do SIU again with high intensity.

So last night I did RIU for the first time. I really like it. The booty workout is KILLER! But I know its working. And I love the resistance bands, makes me feel like I'm REALLY doing work. My pants are baggy today :joy .

BUT... the scale! The numbers on the scale are climbing. And I know why. I can explain it. It just DOES NOT feel good. :anger

Aww Bree! :hug Don't give up!! Put the scale away for a little while. Say a week, and then come back to it and see what happens. It will make you crazy checking it everyday! I have to tell you from doing this video off and on since October, it is really a great workout and WILL get you into shape!!

I just got these tapes at Target for not a ton of money which made me exceptionally happy! I will be starting them tonight after work. Silly, i know, but I watched the video through last night just to see what I could expect and I was surprised to see that it is really not a ton of moving around (which is great when you don't have a lot of space). Can't wait to get started.

SLIM IN SIX SUPER JUNKIE REPORTING IN!

....sorry for yelling. I *LOVE* this program & have had amazing results with it!!! I've pushed it on everyone that would listen to me. LOL

mrsscrooge - The quick start dieting guidelines are laughable. The funny thing? They think low-carbing is laughable too, so I guess that makes us all even. I looked over the eating plan, snickered, and threw it away. I know what works for me diet wise

Ramp It Up & Burn It Up do turn up the ab work intensity (as I read farther through this thread I see you've figured that out! LOL), but you're really going to get optimal results by popping in that Slim & 6pack DVD 2-3 times a week. It's 11 minutes.

Yes. It's a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng 11 minutes, but it's worth it!

As for the headache, I'd suggest double checking your supplement intake. You may well need to do a little tweaking. For me it was as simple as adding in a high potency mineral to my daily vitamin handful. The other think it could be is that you're working just enough too hard that your body is howling at you to slow down/drop the intensity. I'd try lowering the intensity of what you're doing and see if that makes a difference. It can't hurt to try!

Debbie Siebers aka the Squat ****. :mad

Weight gained is NOT fat gained. Your goal is FAT loss, not weight loss. This is where that whole "scales lie" thing comes into play. The next time you're out pants shopping, take a look-see in the waist band of them. Do you see a WEIGHT requirement or an INCH requirement. 5lbs lost won't get you into a smaller pair of pants, but an inch off your middle will. Weight lost does not necessarily represent fat loss.

The other thing is that as you up the intensity of your workouts, you're putting your body through new stresses again and the same old bit of your body protecting itself by retaining more water in the stressed out muscle tissue comes into play. Any time I switch up my routines I put on 2-4lbs & it stays with me a couple of weeks. It's transient. Hang in there. The ONLY thing exercise and muscle mass increases can do is benefit you.

IKrystal - I hope you're still popping it in and gettin' it done. The pain is AWFUL at first, but you'll find you actually feel better when you pop it in and knock it out again. I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but it's the truth & by this weekend you'll feel SO much better & stronger already. Make sure you're doing that Slim & Limber at least once a day. It'll save you from getting a concussion while trying to sit down on the toilet cuz your quads give out and you bash your head on the wall. errrrrr...not that that ever happened to me. It was my friend. Yeah! It was my friend. ops heh
