  • Can anyone recommend a workout DVD?

I live in an upstairs apartment and really want to find a workout video where Im not jumping and running in place (my downstairs neighbor wont appreciate it). Any ideas on a fun dvd that actually works?

Pilates sounds like it would fit the bill. There are alot of ood tapes but my favorite is Denise Austing "pilates for every body". I bought mine used on half.com for afew $'s.

My first response was Billy Blanks Boot Camp but...probably your downstairs neighbor won't like it! I have this one that I bought at Target and the whole thing is with an excercise ball - absolutely a tough workout but very sedate. If you need the name, I can look when I get home tonight.

I recently bought a 5dvd set of Jillian Michaels work out dvds, which are really awesome! Theres a little jumping in the cardio kickboxing one, but the others are toning/weights/light cardio - I only did one other but the remaining 3 seem to be similar. It was only 25 for the set, and they are great. Plus Jillian Michaels is so fit, its so inspiring!
I would rather struggle to do this, than struggle with the fact that I can't...

Whatever you choose, be sure that there's an aerobic portion and a strength/resistance portion. If you're doing pilates, be sure to get some aerobic activity in there too.
